Celitron’s ISS AGRI System – Capabilities for Managing the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Outbreak in Hungary

The Celitron ISS AGRI facility is an innovative rendering system designed for the processing and sterilization of animal by-products, including carcasses of diseased animals classified as Category 1 and 2 materials. The system transforms these materials into a sterile, homogeneous liquid, effectively eliminating pathogens and significantly reducing the risk of contamination.
The ISS AGRI technology operates in a closed system, where organic materials are shredded and sterilized using steam under pressure.
During the process, the input material becomes liquefied into a “soup-like” substance, which is then separated into solids, oil, and water. The solid fraction is dried to produce high-quality meal, while the oil is purified for further use.
By enabling on-site treatment of animal carcasses, the system minimizes the need for transportation and prevents soil contamination that could result from burying infected animals. The sterile liquid produced can be safely transported, including to biomass power plants for energy recovery purposes, providing an environmentally friendly solution for animal waste management.
This method not only ensures environmental protection but also offers economic benefits by reducing waste volume and converting hazardous materials into valuable by-products. Celitron’s ISS AGRI facility represents a significant advancement in sustainable agricultural practices.
